The exceptionally high image quality (thanks to its optical zoom, among other things), its simple operation and robust design make the Gelstick Imager one of our bestsellers.
A selection of different transilluminators is available for the transmitted light imaging of DNA and RNA gels or VIS staining. Fast image capture is either automated or “workflow-guided” manually.

The GelJet imager
The GelJet Imager is identical in construction to the GelStick Imager, but is controlled by an external PC. The exceptionally high image quality (thanks to its optical zoom, among other things), its simple operation and robust design make the GelJet a very powerful system for everyday use.

Configuration options
You can provide your own PC for the GelJet and GelMate models. Please ask us in advance about the minimum requirements that your PC must meet.
All INTAS gel documentation systems contain either a UV or a Blue/Green transilluminator. Both transilluminators enable the detection of ethidium bromide or ethidium bromide replacement dyes such as HDGreen Plus. In terms of work safety and sample quality due to UV exposure, the Blue/Green transilluminator is preferable.
If you want to cut out yellow bands outside the imaging system, the supplied transilluminator can be removed from the device. Alternatively, you can also order a separate transilluminator. Tip: We offer cutting plates to protect the surface of your transilluminator.
We offer an optional white light transilluminator for the detection of VIS stains.
We offer an optional thermal printer and suitable printer paper, which can be connected and operated directly to the system. The thermal printer offers the advantage that images can be printed directly from the system – e.g. for documentation in the lab book.
For quantitative analysis, we offer the LabImage 1D software as an option.

DNA/RNA staining reagent HDGreen Plus
Ethidium bromide (EtBr) is a DNA/RNA intercalator and is classified as mutagenic. We offer an alternative: HDGreen Plus is a non-mutagenic fluorescent dye for the detection of nucleic acids (DNA/RNA) in agarose gels.
DNA bands stained with HDGreen Plus fluoresce when excited under UV and blue LED light. HDGreen Plus impresses with its high performance and can therefore be used sparingly.
